Stress Test / Performance
Hi,
our team have developed a test application and have some doubts about performance. Do you have any instructions about how to do a stress test? Any software that you recommend to use, etc?
Thanks a lot.

Hi,
We developed our own load test tool, only for internal use. I hope Load Test software vendors will start to provide support for push-based applications.

Hello
I would like to get performance estimations for LightStreamer.
I would like to run Moderao on virtual machine on something like standart Amazone/Godaddy/etc cloud machine.
- number of concurrent users per machine (500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, more?) ?
- number of total items update per second (sum of all connections)
- total bandwith per second that the server can send.
- cpu usage
- memory usage
Is there any difference between Moderato edition performance (expect update rate limitation, etc)?
I'm aware that many factors affect, but I need a rough estimation.
Best,
Avi.

Hi,
As you correctly said, performance depends on several variables (message throughput per user, message size, hardware, etc.). We have successfully tested a single Lightstreamer server instance with over 1 million users.
You can do your own tests, given your test scenario, via the Lightstreamer Load Test Toolkit, which is provided on demand. Please contact support@lightstreamer.com with your full contact details to get it.
On the performance side, I confirm there is no difference between Moderato and the other editions.
Thanks,
Alessandro
