I am trying to integrate my application with LS. as per requirement i need to do the following things

2. Then feed the live data to the client.
Doubts

Yes, it is good to use the snapshot to feed the initial data from the database.
Your Data Adapter will need to take care of getting the data from the DB and create both the initial snapshots and the updates.
We don't currently provide ready-made Adapter examples that get data from a DB. As a starting point, you might find this post useful: http://www.lightstreamer.com/vb/show...p?t=231&page=2

Filter Data
Allessandro.. Thanks for your reply..
Still i am not getting how to create initial snapshot, so it can be available for all the clients, please elaborate..
is it possible to filter the streaming data ?
for example
Client will have live news feed if user wanted to see only news containing word "India"
client should only display the news items containing word "India"

I suggest you to take a look at the "General Concepts.pdf" document to know more about snapshots. In particular, see section 4.2.
Furthermore, all of the provided demo examples show use the snapshot. So, choose a demo that somehow resembles your application and study its source code carefully.
The kind of filtering you mentioned can be obtained by leveraging "selectors": see http://www.lightstreamer.com/vb/show...ight=selectors
