    LightStreamer and Tomcat separate setup

    Hi,

I am a developer currently evaluating Lightstreamer for my employer's web application, which is running on Tomcat. After making the necessary changes, I have encoutered security issues with running the modified web-app on Chrome and Firefox. As I've read in the README provided with the Moderato edition, can I confirm that the most viable solution to run a HTTP proxy (e.g. mod_proxy) to redirect the lightstreamer requests to the LightStreamer server?

    Regards,
    Zhengyu

    Hi Zhengyu,

The best and recommended scenario is to have the browser talk directly to both your web/app server (Tomact) and Lightstreamer Server. You should avoid putting a reverse proxy in front of Lightstreamer, in order to not penalize the quality of service.
