Subscription to dynamic unknown list
Our use case is that we have clients who need updates for a dynamic list of items with unknown (to the client) keys. Previous discussions on the topic with moderators have suggested the use of COMMAND mode, basing the structure around the stock demo. In that demo, however, there is always a list of items (keys) that are subscribed to. Our use case provides no such list. Is that really the right model, or is there a different model we should be following?
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Yes you are right, I confirm that the StockList example does not leverage at all the COMMAND mode subscription; sorry for the misunderstanding.
A good example to refer to for COMMAND mode is the Portfolio Demo.
Please take a look to this https://github.com/Lightstreamer/Lig...ent-javascript and let me know if this better reflects your use case.

Giuseppe

Giuseppe,
Thanks for the link. Is there a corresponding adapter implementation we can look at?
Thanks,
Paul

Paul,
Yes sure, this is the example in Java https://github.com/Lightstreamer/Lig...o-adapter-java but there is also for.Net if you prefer.

Giuseppe

Giuseppe,
Thanks for the link. We have resolved the issue at hand, but may end up rewriting our existing adapter. We'll take a close look at that adapter when we do. Many thanks for your help.

Hi Paul,
We have a similar issue. Could you please let us know how you resolved the issue. We also have a dynamic list which changes over time and new additions come in.
regards,
Harsh
