Lightstreamer path
Hi,
I tried to connect my android app to lightstreamer server but without success. I found that problem is in url path, android client lib is set to use "lightstreamer" in path i.e. http://www.my.server/lightstreamer/create_session.txt but I need to use different path, http://www.my.server/mobilestreamer/create_session.txt
Can you tell me is there any way to set path manually?

Hi,
Sorry but there is no way to change that string.
Can you explain why you need such change so that we may suggest an alternative route?

Thanks Mone,
I need to change this because my client already has iOS application which works with mentioned url. They want now new android app which will use same lightstreamer server.

Hi markos,
Can you confirm me that the iOS application uses the URL path http://www.my.server/lightstreamer/create_session.txt ? If so, there is no need to change the URL path to use the same Lightstreamer server from another application.
Please let us know if my thoughts are not correct or if there is other specific reasons for which you want to change the URL path.

Hi Giuseppe,
I've analyzed traffic of iOS application with wireshark and I found that it uses http://www.my.server/mobilestreamer/create_session.txt url.
As I said, the only reason I need to change URL path is because my client wants to use same LS server for iOS and android app.
I will talk with them to find another solution for this problem.
Best regards,
Marko

Hi markos,
The only way for the iOS application to work with "/mobilestreamer/.." URLs is that the <base_url_path> parameter is added in the Lightstreamer server configuration file.
Can you confirm me this?
Anyway, if indeed the <base_url_path> parameter is added it is recognized in addition to the default "/lightstreamer/.." base URL path. So your application can run with the default base URL with the same LS server of iOS application.
