Total JVM Threads

i have noticed that lightstreamer does not end the threads that are open by the subscriptions to it.. although i tried to open a new thread for each data item and put it in a concurrenthashmap then end it once the unsubscribe or notifySessionClose is called but no matter what i do they keep increasing (the number in "Total JVM Threads" in the monitor console)
