Thanks. I will re-download newer version of lightstreamer moderato and test it now.
I hope following information are configured/modified correctly:lightstreamer_conf.xml
<production>
<!-- Mandatory. Your personal ClientId (received together with the
license file). -->
<client_id>***</client_id>
<!-- Mandatory. Path and name of the license file for Lightstreamer Server,
Moderato Edition, relative to the conf directory. -->
<license_path>***.lic</license_path>
<!-- Mandatory. Path of the directory in which to store the audit
log files, relative to the conf directory. -->
<audit_logs>D:\LS\audit</audit_logs>
</production>

Hi
the configuration should be ok.
When "Could not check license." is issued,
the problem is due to a server limitation.

License Check Failing
I am getting a license check failed message in the log file when staring Moderato.
19.Sep.07 16:41:19,896 < INFO> Starting MAC address check
19.Sep.07 16:41:19,911 <FATAL> Could not check license.
19.Sep.07 16:41:19,917 < WARN> A proper Free License was not configured. Server starting in unregistered mode. Get your Free License from
http://www.lightstreamer.com/downloadfree.htm
I am running on an Intel Mac with OS 10.4.10 and the most recent Apple Java environment. The machine has two ethernet cards, only one port is being used and the MAC address I specified for the licensing is for the active port. I have edited the lightstreamer_conf.xml file with my license information is there something I'm missing?

Hi Makusa
this may be a limitation of our licensing system.
There are no machine-dependent issues as long as java 6 is used,
but I see that the Apple java is based on java 5.
In this case, I'm afraid that MACOSX support is limited to PowerPC.
But we need time to get a deeper understanding.
For the moment, you could move to an Allegro edition with a trial license to have the Server running without restrictions.
